As the founder and President/CEO of Mary Flowers Entertainment ATL, Inc., it is my pleasure to recommend Paul Doyle for his marketing services.
I have worked with Mr. Doyle since 1991, when he and the Apollo Theater partner together to do a Latin Hip Hop concert. Mr. Percy Sutton who was the owner of the Apollo Theater at that time soon realized Mr. Doyle unique marketing abilities. Mr. Sutton retained Mr. Doyle to market all of Inner City Broadcasting Corp events that his radio stations WBLS and WLIB did.
This relationship has grown from 1991 to today. In 1991, I was the Financial Controller and also Director of Concert Sales for the Apollo Theater. We did about 100 concerts at the Apollo Theater per year. We also did concerts at other venues in the New York City tri-state area. In 1992, the Apollo Theater became a non-profit organization and Mr. Doyle continue performing as head of all marketing for concerts produce at the Apollo Theater and other ventures that Inner City Broadcasting Corp was involved in. In 1995, Mary Flowers Entertainment Inc. was formed. I automatic knew Paul Doyle, would be the person I would let handle all of my marketing for the concerts I did. We continue working together to present. Mr. Doyle was instrumental in helping me decide on who we should promote in concert. Paul’s ear was to the street, and he always knew who was going to be the next hot artist.
I booked and Paul marketed every show I did in the Apollo Theater and the tri-state area from R & B, Hip Hop, Gospel, Jazz. Paul continued working also with Inner City Broadcasting Corp; marketing national syndicated television programs Apollo Comedy Hour and It’s Showtime At The Apollo. Paul was very helpful in helping me obtain nine acts for the Caribbean Music Award show that was held at the Apollo Theater and also in Barbados WI,
Mr. Doyle also worked for other national and local promoters for concerts held in Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall and the Beacon Theater. Paul also did promotion for all the tri-states popular clubs. His physical presence is greatly missed in New York City. Mr. Doyle still manages the marketing of all my concerts from Barbados; we are presently working on the artist Ledisi coming to the Apollo Theater on October 23, 2011. His employees, the street team misses him and without his direct supervising I have not been able to use them.
I await the day Paul Doyle returns back to the United States; it is not the same, I truly miss his daily input.MARY FLOWERS ENTERTAINMENT ATL, Inc
